Neighborhood Tour with Planning Coordination Team

On May 20, 2024, the Planning Coordination Team visited the International District. This team, which was brought on board in April, assists the Albuquerque Housing Authority (AHA) and the City of Albuquerque with the International District Choice Neighborhood Plan. The Planning Coordination Team is integrated by Borderless Studio and Collabo Planning who have collaborated in multiple previous Choice Neighborhood Plans around the country, and local partner UNM Design and Planning Assistance Center (DPAC).

During the neighborhood tour, District 6 Councilor Nichole Rogers, along with team members from AHA and the City, visited key housing sites and other significant locations within the International District. These included the ID Library, Mesa Verde Community Center, Phil Chacon Community Center, and various other community assets and organizations. A major topic of discussion throughout the tour was the ongoing efforts and investments in the International District community, highlighting opportunities for community engagement and connection.
